program, through the usage of challenging Lego sets, your child will

Chess

Improve your child’s analytical thinking from our trained chess
professionals! In this enhanced chess class, your child will learn problem
solving skills, improve logical thinking, reasoning skills, and patience!
Additionally, Chess improves memory, concentration, and focus. In this
class, your child will practice better decision making, think outside the box,
and explore solutions, while becoming a better decision maker!

This fun class is full of key games that foster stronger

Heart to Art

The benefits of art are immeasurable! Numerous benefits include stress reduction, creativity, mindfulness, problem-solving, boosting self-esteem, and creating individual priceless projects of artwork! Art is an expression. Your child will use his and her imagination, planning, and hand-eye coordination. From natural objects to beads, plastic, wood, string, metal, and other materials, your child will make rings, bracelets, necklaces, and other fine jewelry using their imagination, fine motor skills, creativity, coordination, problem solving, and from their heart! This class will boost your child’s self-esteem, communication, and academic performance!

Animation & Cartooning

Now, your child can learn the latest techniques for making animation and cartooning here at the German International School! This class will improve your child’s imagination, problem solving skills, boost confidence, give him or her a hobby, passion, and have a positive effect on his or her academic performance! This class will cover the multidimensional aspects of character development and design. A must for every aspiring artist!

Archery

This profound sport and often overlooked for advanced cardiovascular health and mental acumen, is now available at the German International school. Your child will practice and hone his or her focusing skills, strengthen muscles, improve hand-eye coordination, enjoy fun games, and strike team competitions! Besides increasing balance and stability in this class, your child will learn enhanced patience, discipline, and social interaction. This is a nevery before class at GIS! A must for every student!

Planets & Outer Space (German Only)

This amazing class is a must for all future astronauts and space enthusiasts! Students will learn about our cosmic origins, the solar system, the galaxy, and space travel and space exploration! Your child will develop a strong foundation in astronomy, and practice critical thinking over the vast universe. This class will foster interests in environmental awarness and Earth appreciation, and provides a unique perspective on Earth’s place in the universe

Wild Animal Kingdom I love Animals (German Only)

Learning about animals offers numerous benefits to students at the German International School, including fostering empathy, kindness, and respect for all living things. Your child will increase cognitive development, social-emotional learning, scientific understanding, and a greater understanding of human behavior and health through the study of animal behavior. Animals from all over the world and habitats will be studied from undersea creatures to the antarctic to the deserts of the world.

Weird Science

: This fun and creative science class brings excitement, fun experiments, creates learning, with fantastic displays of live science! Your child will get to see and create live experiments from making slime to volcanoes, to watching raisins dance! Fun balloon experiments and more! This excellent class fosters curiosity, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, while promoting a love for learning, confidence, and promotes strong communication skills!

Better Golf

Learn better golf from golf professionals of the Golf Index Cure School now on campus! Golf will last a life-time. It will outlive any other sport. It looks great on resumes, and there are many scholarships available for both men and women in colleges. It is a sport you can play with your family, colleagues, teammates, and professionally. We teach the values of the game and how it relates to life. From the full swing to putting, we cover all the aspects of the game! Your child will learn swing fundamentals that are broken down and easily absorbed. We will teach the difference between chipping and pitching, and cover game saving short-game skills! Basic rules and etiquette will be discussed as well as golf terminology used on the golf course! Equipment will be provided.

Gymnastics

Gymnastics is not just a sport, it is artistic expression on every level, in every format. Your child will learn this artistic expression of the world of Gymnastics through tumbling, balance beam, floor exercises, flexibility and more! Your child will build strength, athleticism, grace, style, and creative expression through choreography and performance. Gymnastics is an Olympic sport that is very important in building your childs well being, confidence, and skill development through a unique physical education curriculum.

Fun with Clay

Your child will have fun managing and molding clay art in this immersive art class! Children will increase their sensory, imagination, and improve cognitive and fine motor skills as they bring home amazing works of art that will last a lifetime!!

Archery

This is one of our most popular, fun and safe classes that we offer! This class works on hand-eye coordination, proper aiming, skill sets, strike teams, and overall fun! Games & Targets will be provided. The tip of the arrows are circular, flat, and made from plastic, so there is no penetration. The flat arrow sticks to the target by suction and magnets! Students will work on their precision, mental focus, and strengh.

Hip Hop Dance

We have classically trained dancers in all fields of dance from Ballet to Hip Hop! Kids will dance and learn new moves in the latest styles of Hip Hop! We also offer world dance from diverse backgrounds and cultures. Jazz and Tap are also taught!

Summer Fun Sport Games

The best of all summer fun! From sporting activities to water sports, this class is a blast! Your child will enjoy cool exercises, games, and water play as he or she will become fit both mentally and physically.

World Culture

This class is a must for every camper. Your child will see the real world from Germany to Italy, from Europe to Asia and beyond! They will see and experience the different cultures from music to art to food to language! Your child’s expansive knowledge will widen and deepen and believe there is more than just America-the land and the free! Your child will be inspired to respect the many different types of lifestyles and learn a more international cosmopolitan way of life!

World Dance

Learn the history of modern dance! Dance comes in all shapes and forms. Your child will learn the expressive cultural dances from Indian, ceremonial, classical, German Bavarian shoe-slapping, tribal, and from ballroom to ballet! This class is not just about movement, but learning the traditions and cultures from around the world that influence modern dance.

Fun Art

Your child will be immersed in different mediums of art forms from water color, to clay, to drawing and more! This fun class will work on your child’s hand-eye coordination, imagination, nature with art, and social group play. Art in our programs improve critical thinking, mood, focus and problem-solving skills.

Journaling Creative Writing (German Only)

This writing class goes above and beyond the standard forms of essays, and journalistic technical forms of literature, but allow for your child to transcend and use their imaginations and creativity to create self emotions, thoughts and ideas through poetry, plays, scripts, songs, speeches, memoirs, and fictional stories. Your child will learn empathy, offer new perspectives, and learn the ability to communicate through new forms of written prose, and foster a better child with new and improved writing techniques for now and the future.

Fun Languages & Art

Have you ever wanted to learn a new language? German, Italian, French, English, Spanish? Do you know what the second largest foreign language spoken is in the world? Learn world languages and culture through different cultural expressions of art, song, music, food, and more. Your child will become inspired to learn new languages and cultures.

Racket Sports

This fun engaging class will introduce and hone your child’s racket sports from tennis to pickleball and boost cardiovascular health, burn calories, improve hand-eye coordination, agility, and balance. Cognitive function, quick strategic thinking, and reducing stress are all benefits from this class, as well as adding years to life

Swimming

Learning how to swim and honing your child’s swim skills can save a life or your child’s life. Swimming is one of the best exercises with little or no impact on the body. This amazing cardiovascular skill will extend the life of your child and keep him or her fit learning and practicing how to tread water, learning water safety, rescue, while learning the different strokes from freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly and honing your child’s mind, body, and skill.

German, Swiss, & French Cultures

Germans are known for their efficiency, punctuality, and discipline, innovation, and significant contributions to science, music, food, castles, festivals, board games, automobiles, architecture, movies and much more. The Swiss are known for dairy, winter sports, timepieces, precision, and more.The French are known for artists, architecture, landmarks, food, fashion and more. The French language is as beautiful as it is complex. In this wonderful class, your child will learn these three different cultures and how they contribute to the world and how they benefit today’s society throughout the world.

This class should be for everyone. Learning to eat plant based foods will lower the risks for heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and prolong your child’s life while maintaining a healthy weight, and boosting immunity. Track & Field

Cool Things Sensory

This fun class explores the textures of life and how it relates to thought and feelings. Students will explore the feelings of relaxation and calmness through sensory play tables of different mediums from sand to bubbles to rice to clay to foam, and other modalities which will help the child feel, express, and be able to write about their experiences.

World Song & Dance

This fun and engaging class will teach your child hymns, anthems, folk tunes, popular music, while blending cultural dance from different parts of the world from Germany to Hawaii!! Your child will gain a greater appreciation for history and culture and expand his or her knowledge while moving and exercising to different rhythms and beats! Art & Mindfulness

Aliens & Planets

Are there aliens on different planets? Your child will have fun learning about different planets, and imagining and learning about different aliens that travel them! A super hero science class that brings imagination to learning and bringing to life the aliens inside your child’s mind to play as super heroes fight different creatures and battle for freedom and victory!

This class is one of the best ways to surround your child with the German language and culture and introduce or support the German way of life-its history, traditions, foods, cars, music, games, and entertainment! German Nursery Rhymes Songs

These sweet and fun songs will create an early connection to the German language and traditions, and introduce songs to your little one that is a part of the German history through verse, clapping, and singing “Alle Meine Enten”, “Hoopa Hoppa Reiter”, “Backe backe Kuchen” and more! This class will boost the German language skills of your young child, enhance cognitive function, improve vocabulary, and appreciate the German culture even more, and create a foundation of early multilingualism!

Gardening & Art

From farm to table your child will learn not only how to plant seeds for a new beginning, but learn and apply art form from fruits and vegetables and nature! Gardening is an artform and a skill that is often not taught. Here in this class, your child will become the innate farmer and the artist that uniquely blends these two professions and skills into one! From fine motor skills to concentration to focusing on the little details, and learning how to properly paint and draw works of art from nature!

Art & Culture of the World

This unique class brings world cultures and mediums from around the world from ancient aztecs to modern art. From Monet to Friedrick to Ludwig, to Japanese art to Indian art and beyond. This class will discuss the various mediums used and the time periods of different eras to help challenge students of this class. Students will practice these mediums from around the world as they learn the history behind the brush and palette.

Fun with Computers

A Computer is an everyday instrument for your child. Our class will further hone his or her skills in digital art, video editing, coding games, 3D modeling, blogging, graphic design, website building, and building computers. This class is a must for modern day kids!

Aerobics and Physical Education

This class takes physical fitness fun to the next level. Students will move to music, run, dance, and use aerobics and aerobic training to increase stamina, lose weight, and become more physically fit! Star Acting Studio!

Learn stage presence from your heart, chest, and voice. Learn how to control your voice and body together. Learn scenes for presentation with improvisation exercises. We use a combination of The Method-Strasberg & Meisner Techniques to further enhance your child’s craft!

Mock Trial

A mock trial is a simulated courtroom proceeding where students, act as lawyers and witnesses to argue a hypothetical legal case, learning about the judicial system, courtroom procedures, critical thinking, and public speaking skills in a competitive setting!
