Why should you enroll in our Swim School?
Swimming offers extensive full-body physical and mental health benefits, including
superior cardiovascular fitness, muscle strengthening, and high-calorie burning (up to
715 calories per hour), all while being low-impact on joints. Competitive swimming
enhances these benefits by improving endurance, lung capacity, and fostering
discipline, teamwork, and goal-setting skills.
Key Benefits of General Swimming
Physical Fitness & Health: Provides a full-body workout that increases heart rate, builds
muscle strength, and tones the body. It is excellent for, and gentle on, joints.
Cardiovascular & Respiratory: Improves heart health, increases lung capacity, and
enhances oxygen utilization.
Weight Management: Burns more calories than many other sports, with intense,
one-hour, sessions burning over 700 calories.
Mental Well-being: Reduces stress, boosts mood, and provides a relaxing, meditative,
environment.
Accessibility: Suitable for all ages and fitness levels, and is a year-round, accessible,
activity.
Additional Benefits of Competitive Swimming
Goal Setting & Discipline: Trains individuals to set personal, time-based, goals and work
systematically toward them.
Teamwork & Social Skills: Fosters, collaboration, communication, and social connection,
through team practice and competition.
Increased Intensity: Promotes higher levels of cardiovascular, endurance and strength
compared to recreational swimming.
Character Building: Teaches, sportsmanship, handling, success and failure with grace,
and self-reliance.
Both forms of swimming are effective, for long-term health, with competitive training
adding deeper, psychological, and, socialbenefits.
